We’re a friendly and welcoming community filled with people being transformed by Christ so that we may serve God and make disciples.
As the priest here in our community, it will be a pleasure to meet you and show you around our great church and ministries. Meeting newcomers and getting to know about their faith journeys and introducing them to the Christian faith, our local parish, and/or the Episcopal Tradition is a huge joy for me. I hope you’ll stop by to worship with us on a Sunday, or reach out to me [email protected] or (210)-657-3328 to grab a coffee and chat. I love answering questions and getting to know people, so please feel free to reach out!
A bit about visiting on Sunday, as I know it may be daunting to walk into an unfamiliar church for the first time. We have 2 worship service, one at 8 AM and one at 10:30 AM, each one followed by coffee, food, and fellowship in the Parish Hall. (People tend to dress casually for either.) Both services are built around the ancient Christian practice of Holy Communion and the main difference between them is the music. At the 8 AM, our music is traditional organ church music, while at 10:30 AM our music is a mix of contemporary songs and traditional hymns led by our very talented praise and worship band. At both services our worship is both reverent and joyful and serves to focus each of us and our community on our Lord Jesus Christ
Aside from that, we have Christian Education for adults and youths at 9:30 AM in the Parish Hall, we have Children’s Chapel for younger kids available at the 10:30 AM service. (No need to drop them anywhere, they leave from the church shortly after the service begins, and return in time for prayers and Communion with their families.) For little ones, our nursery opens at 9:30 AM as well and remains open through the 10:30 AM service.
St. Margaret’s really is a wonderful community full of amazing people, and I hope you come join us for worship, fellowship, and conversation soon.
If you’re interested in getting connected, learning more about the church, or becoming a member, please fill out one of the forms below and I’ll be in touch. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing you on a Sunday!
