Outreach Events

St. Margaret’s sponsors various events throughout the year that are open to both the church and surrounding community. Some of our outreach programs include:


PANCAKE SUPPER  Brotherhood of St. Andrew prepares a pancake supper the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday "Shrove Tuesday".

EASTER EGG HUNT
  Children have an Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday between services.

SPRING FESTIVAL
  We will have our inaugural Cornhole Tournament for the coveted traveling trophy (adult and youth divisions), other games, food, Silent Auction, music, fellowship and fun! The proceeds help St. Margaret's School as well as our other outreach programs.

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS  Everyone is invited to have their pets blessed in celebration of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals. Pets must be restrained. Enjoy the service, photo op, and blessings certificate.

PUMPKIN PATCH  The front lawn of St. Margaret’s becomes a giant pumpkin patch in October (starting 10/03/21). You can help by selling pumpkins Sunday noon-dusk, Monday - Friday 2:30PM-dusk, Saturday 10:00AM-dusk. Proceeds go to our outreach and local area students.

FALL FAMILY FUN NIGHT (October 30, 2021). Starts at 5PM. It will include a bouncy house, trunk or treat, a food truck, and of course watching It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown on the front lawn at 7PM (bring chairs and blankets).

OUtreach ministries

AFRICAN TEAM MINISTRIES display and sell goods provided for several weeks in the fall. All proceeds go directly to Bishops in African countries for school fee, tuition, books, and uniforms for orphans and refugees.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS provide a scholarship to cover 1/3 of a camper's tuition. This is for the Diocese of West Texas camps - Camp Capers, Camp Duncan, or Mustang Island.

DIOCESE OF WEST TEXAS Support the Diocese outreach projects such as, but not limited to, Mother's Day offering, Bishop's fund, and DWT.

THE MARGARITA NEWSLETTER collects and edits articles from various ministry leaders and creates a newsletter that is distributed bimonthly.

ST. MARGARET'S SCHOOL "THE ST.MARGARET'S MUSTANGS" serves children ages 2 years - PreK. The school is dedicated to providing a warm atmosphere where students excel academically, socially, and spiritually. Children are taught using experiential play and developmentally appropriate practices. The school operates Monday - Friday from 9:00AM - 2:00PM, with extended care offered from 7:00AM - 5:45PM. Outreach is a top priority. If you are interested in volunteering or you know of an organization that needs or provides service hours, contact the school director.

STAHL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SUPPORT  In November we have a Stahl family food drive collecting nonperishable goods through the month to provide holiday meals for families in need. In December families are adopted for Christmas. Gifts are purchased for specific families selected by Stahl's Family Services. For Easter we provide Easter baskets and cleaning supplies to our adopted Stahl families.
