Who We Are

St. Margaret’s Church and School is part of the Diocese of West Texas. We are named for St. Margaret of Scotland who was Queen of Scotland in the 11th Century. She is remembered for her personal devotion and her efforts to strengthen and reform the religious institutions of her day.

The Church was founded in January of 1979 and moved to its present location in November of 1980. Worship was originally held in an Air Force barracks that the congregation purchased. That original building still serves as our Parish Hall. The church was completed in the fall of 1981.

On December 28th, 2005 a fire swept through the Church making it unusable. A major rebuilding effort was begun and ground was broken for the new Church in October of 2007. The new Church was completed in October of 2008.

Through the tragedy of the fire by God’s grace St. Margaret’s has emerged as a loving vibrant and committed Christian community. We hope that you will find a comfortable place here and that you would join us as we grow into the promise of God’s love.
